How to play
- Sliding
- Tap a creature on the edge of the board. It slides straight in until it hits the far wall or another piece. A filled entry blocks that spot until it clears.
- Matching
- Each creature has a number: get that many of the same creature touching (diagonals count) and they splash away. Every extra creature in the group doubles the points.
- Food
- Phytoplankton, copepods and krill never match. Clear creatures next to them to take a bite; finishing one off multiplies your move by up to ×8.
- The shark
- The rarest creature. It hunts on its own after every move, eating a neighbour for your points, and counts down until it can be matched.
Questions
- Can I play offline?
- Yes. Your game and scores are saved on your device; leaderboard scores are sent the next time you're online.
- How do I change my diver name?
- Open Settings (the gear on the board) and tap "Change diver name", or tap the pencil on your row in the leaderboard. Names are picked from word lists, so nobody can type anything rude.
- Can I turn off sounds or vibration?
- Yes, both switches are in Settings.
- Why do ads appear?
- Splash Lane is free and supported by ads. They only appear between games, never during play, plus an optional one you can watch to revive once per game.
- Can my scores be removed from the leaderboard?
- Yes. Email us with the diver name you used and we'll remove them.
